kc englander (they/them) is a dynamic visual creative whose Oscar, Emmy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, Annie & Critic's Choice award-winning film, theater and television experience runs 18 years deep.
Shepherding time-based artworks from imaginal concept, through bold experimentation, into their truest, synthesized form is, to KC, an absolute thrill and privilege. They consider this practice of "make-believing" to be a vital, most human type of alchemy.
As a Production Designer, Set Dresser and Fabricator, KC is known for their rich hand-built worlds, thoughtful storytelling, well-observed detail, and elegant composition. As a teammate, they operate with open communication, curiosity and a zeal for cracking the complex puzzles of interdepartmental production. As a leader, they strive to be an agent of shame-free skill-sharing, technical development and collaborative discovery.
In community, KC serves on the Board of Catalyst Film Collective, as a Core Organizer with Slow Blink Puppet Collective, a land-tender on Indigenous gardens and farms, and co-captain of the Dandy Lions of Lavender League. You can otherwise find them out on a walk with their partner and dog in Portland, Oregon.
